Nice to hear from you Steve, I was wondering where you got to, hope
everything is well and you had a nice christmas.

About your resist mixture. Is "light machine oil" sewing machine oil?
Also, how quickly does your mixture dry on bisque?

I had a 2 month plus holiday from the list at the end of last year, but
I had to get back to it again; missed the family!

The oils are one and the same. I was just remembering how widely the
List is read and covering (so I thought) the options.
On a cool surface it sets more slowly than straight wax, but it doesn't
set completely. This is a decorator's recipe really, so it flows well
when brushed on. For just wax-footing I would reduce the oil a bit, but
not too much; the lower temperature melting is a big safety factor.

Take care

Why not indeed, so long as it's thin.
