To those interested, I have added photos of my kiln stacking method for
large flat pieces in bisque. Also posted are stacking photos of the 12 sided
updraft kiln I built and fire 3 times a week.

hi
a question about your wooden protective ledge. how does it attach and
what stabilizes
it, and can you use it to lean on or rest things on.

Millie in Md. where I didn't feel yesterdays earthquake, but am
dealing with the flooding from the snow melt and the excess rain.
this isn't supposed to happen until spring.

The ledge is plywood with cardboard on the underside to cushion it on the
top bricks and prevent breakout. I set things there to load as long as they
aren't too heavy.
