It all is dreadfully sad, and hurts. But when the friend of my youth,
potter Natalie Malter, died this Spring, she left among other things a
collection of antique--or at least old--ivory knitting needles, crochet
hooks, and those longer crochet hooks used for what I think is called
Afghan or Turkish stitch.

Also 3 slim netting shuttles, no bobbins, just two ended flat things
with two prongs at each end. One still has some cord on it.

I have volunteered to find them homes. I knit, so those needles are
assured a real life, but I do not crochet nor net.

So I apply to you. Do you know any youngish crafstpeople who DO crochet
or net, who would use and respect these tools, give them a happy home,
and, ultimately pass them on to other craftsmen?

Contact me offlist, please.
