Glazes belong to families. These families have internal resemblances =
just like human ones.

Assuming we are dealing with one temperature or temperature range (viz. =
c. 6 or c.4-6) the glazes within that each family will have similar =
characteristics.

I'd suggest you recycle the bottom of the barrel left-over stuff by =
family. The Calcium Borates, the Dolomitics, the Zincs. The Potash Soda =
one's can go anywhere, but I like them with the CBs. In some cases a =
decision has to be made. (Does Mitzi look more like Mother or Father?) =

That way the dolomite won't affect your cobalt color (unless you like =
purple) your Zincs won't bother your chromes.

As to a general melting pot idea; depending on the colorants you use =
most, you may get something wonderful, or something yukky. Dry out a =
bit of the yukky and see if adding some rutile or pure titanium won't =
turn yukky to creamy,
