for some years i have been interested in the glazes used on the mural of joan
miro.

these were made by spanish potter artigas and i have a book in spanish of
more then 900 formulas.

the problems is that most call for lead.

now for use on out of doror work such as murals or sculpture lead has many
advantages.

artigas formula 426
1180 degrees centrigade
borax 96
feldspar83
whiting60
epk35
silica100

k2o .14
nao .31
cao .55
feo .01
b2o3 .44
al2o4 .26
sio2 3.31

does anyone know anything about Artigas or Miro?

Yes, I know about them both. My teacher is a friend of Artigas and works
with him wood firing in Spain.

Thank you.
