Hey Simona,
I do mostly Raku and Naked Raku. Many of my pieces are large boxes, =
wall hangings and large platters. I build wire cages or baskets for =
these pieces to help me left them from the kiln and get them into the =
reduction chamber. I have used Kemper High Temp wire which was =
purchased from a local pottery supplier. I use it over and over again =
(more than 2-3 times) with out any problems. You do have to take care =
to straighten it out after each firing and try not to bend it back and =
forth repeatedly. I have also used #19 Annealed stove pipe wire with =
success however, this usually only lasts for 2 firings before it begins =
to break down. The Kemper wire is expensive (about a dollar a foot) =
while stove pipe wire is REALLY cheap (pennies per foot) and more =
readily available.=20
