-- Harappa: The Indus Valley and the Raj in India and Pakistan

(Glimpses of South Asia before 1947)
http://www.harappa.com/har/har1.html
(For an introduction on this ancient cradle of civilization)
This is a very large site, and for those interested in archeology, it
will be very interesting indeed. There are a number of sections that
show pottery sherds and clay figurines. One of the most concentrated of
these is: .
Interspersed with ancient art and industrial clay products such as
seals, are photos of modern reproductions, and even making methods.
Look around the site. You may find it a bit confusing at first, but
perseverance should show the pattern of its design.

-- Joman to Java - "Spirit and form in clay"

(Lesson Plan - this is a PDF file. I found it a little slow to load.)
Prepared for the study of some ceramic traditions of two Asian cultures
and provide opportunities for students to perceive their own ceramics
activities in terms of the ancient Jomon pottery of Japan and the recent
village pottery of Kasongan in central Java. (Paraphrased) (The page has
an illustrated description of a project for building a Jomon pot.)
From the South Australian Department of Education and Children's Services
website - I couldn't link from the department's home page, but cutting
back to: will get
this and the rest of the list of curriculum units the department has
prepared.
