The Gallery of Fine Crafts at Hands On Clay, Inc. presents:

Midlife Stories
An Exhibit by Marlene Parillo
Nov. 16th - Dec. 31st, 2003

Opening Show:
Sunday, Nov. 16th, 2003
Time: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Statement:

"My most current group of narrative sculptures deals with the theme of
'midlife'. These sculpted containers look affectionately at midlife issues:
our slowing metabolism and expanding bodies, raising children and deciding
when our families are complete, mourning the loss of our youth while
enjoying the fruits of our hard earned security and examining the roles we
have in the lives of our loved ones. The vessels are wheel thrown and hand
built, sculpted in a cone 6 clay. They are intended to be useful objects,
existing in our homes as both containers and storytellers of these
experiences."
