It's really very easy, you just wrap the pots very tightly in aluminum foil
along with a small amount of newspaper. Pots are already decorated with
Terra-sigilatta and bisqued. Keep them at a temperature high enough to burn
the newspaper but not high enough to burn the foil (between 451 and 650) in
your electric kiln until done. Experiment A LOT! Longer usually = more
smoke (between 1.5 hrs and 3 hrs) (longer will probably require a bit more
paper). You get very little smoke escaping from the foil packet but vent
your kiln anyway.
I do a workshop on this if anyone wants to have it. I usually come to the
states for NCECA so it could be arranged around that time.
