Today was a wonderful marriage of philosophy of pots by two pottery scholars
Ron Roy and Jonathon Smith curator of the Burlington Arts Center. I sat in
the front row with Liz and I tried to catch the garter. As always Ronnie's
answers have me asking more questions.
RR quoted fairly precisely:
"If you walk around to look at the backside of a pot and it is disappointing
then it was a waste of a walk."
"I don't like jurying but when I think of who else might, I accept the job"!
I liked the dialoque about volume very much.
good stuff, ronnie. I am blessed with friends that love and think about
pots. They don't let you fall asleep on the couch or at the wheel-the
potters wheel.
Cheers,
Tony
P>S Great to see jody from Buffalo and Chris C's brother Chuck the wine
snob.
