Hi, Hal,

What is "a3 feldspar?" Can one substitute another feldspar if the spar that
you cite is not available?

a3 feldspar is a standarad potash spar
you can substitute but that will change the ratios.

the glaze should work

This glaze totals 89.9 without the copper - is that correct?

I used G200 to calculate - both G200 and Custer have more KNaO than A3 Spar
so it would be best to calculate the substitution.

The Unity formula below shows P2O3 at 0.38 - that should be B2O3.

It is difficult to say if this is a stable glaze - the silica and alumina
are very high for a cone 6 glaze but so is the KNaO.

If it is durable you will find out by having it tested - copper is well
known for promoting leaching so it is not obviously a stable glaze - might
be.
