Hi Jenny,
Try A.R.T. in Stuyevent(sp?). I believe they are
north of Milwaukee by the lake. They have some
excellent clay bodies.
The graystone and cinnamonstone go to ^10.
They also have a whitestone as well as porcelains
mid- fire clays and earthenware.
goodluck,

Hi,
I'm looking to purchase small amounts of clay to hand build ceramic
pieces, perhaps 50 lbs. at a time. I have a skutt kiln which can fire up
to a stoneware. I live just west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Any suggestions?
I'm finding a lot of slip out there, but not solid clay! Thanks in advance
for your help, Jenni

Jenni -

Try CERAMIC SUPPLY CHICAGO in Evanston 847-425-1900.
I think it is run by a Turnbull - related to Standard
in Pittsburg. He knows his stuff I think so talk to
him.

If you don't want to ship it, drive down, pick it up
and go into Chicago and see the New Lill St. Art
Center. Phone them first for a schedule of events
celebrating their new HUGE digs. (If you decide to do
this and want a restaurant rec, write me back)

Jenni: Have a look at a Wisconsin map and see if Paoli, WI is too far from
you. It is
12 miles southwest of Madison. There is the Paoli Clay Co.,
608-845-7000You can purchase as little as a 25 lb. bag.
Hoping this helps.
