I am going to be in DC next weekend, actually staying in Germantown, MD, does
anyone know of any ceramic exhibits around town? I only have Friday to do my
own thing.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Dear Diane,

Try the Renwick in DC, the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria Old Town and watch
time something on the order of 9-5pm.There are so many works of art ,
sometimes having the pottery of antiquity and the last couple centuries on the
''Mall'' art museums ,the Smithsonian and National Gallery most times.

Baltimore[Clayworks,I think] has a lot too and isn't too far.Georgetown used
to have a couple galleries so you might ask at the Renwick or torpedo factory
is they have a copy of Gallery Guide or what day's local newspaper lists
gallery events. The lobby of major hotels carry a guide to ost cities that list
shows, not studios though.I find Hampton Inns have them and would reccommend
them as a clean comfortable stay in DC and the included breakfast buffet can't
be beat in that price point and is even better a deal with children in tow.
