I am about to hold my first major exhibition of my ceramics (as part of a
group of five). The exhibition is opening at a gallery in Wellington, New
Zealand called the Roar Gallery on 2 October and runs until 16 October.

It will not be the first time I have been involved in an exhibition. I have
previously had individual pieces selected for display at other galleries
including the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, but it will be the first
time I will be exhibiting enough material in one place to resemble a China
Shop. I have no idea what the multitude of interested onlookers will think
of my work since I am not yet a seasoned campaigner, having begun working in
ceramics only within the last 12 months.

I was, however, pleasantly surprised to find some preliminary attention from
a local internet media source:

Wonders never cease.

Geoffrey- I went to the URL and red the write-up, but didn't see any pics of
your work.
Hope your show goes well.

judged fall show at local Art Assoc. gallery. Last minute as usual. <

Ann

Thank you for the kind message of support and encouragement. I have
attached some digital images of some of my earliest work from about 12
months ago. I don't have my own digital camera, so I've been somewhat
remiss in arranging photographs of my more recent work which includes
pots of various shapes and sizes thrown on the wheel. This is something
I intend to do something about as soon as I can arrange more photography
from a friend.

I had a quick look at your homepage (and bookmarked it, so I can go back
for a more leisurely look a little later on). I'm suitably impressed
with your work and particularly enjoyed looking at your range of small
pots - very inspiring. Hope all goes well for you also.

Regards Geoffrey Gaskell
