Lili are you going into the field of masonry
at this stage of the game (big smile here)???
I have yet another idea for Lili's lil' bricks.
Since I don't have a slab roller, I cut my slabs
directly from the slug with a cake slicer to desired
thickness and peel off the slab. Then it can be rolled
to the desired thickness. Then in your case, measure
with a ruler and cut a grid for your bricks.
Mold making can actually be more labor intensive
and time consuming as you have to wait inbetween
castings for the mold to dry. If you don't, the mold
will become saturated and grow hair-like crystals
or worse yet, disintegrate. The slip also has an extremely
high shrinkage as it contains more water than throwing clay.
I usually opt for the slice and slam method for slabs.

I hope this helps,
