Paul, a controller for the motor you have can be had
for about $130 list. BUT I strongly recommend that
you rethink the project you are considering for two
reasons:
1. If you are spraying glaze, you are essentially spraying
water vapor. Your setup would have to be completely
protected from the possibility that this vapor would
find it's way into the motor or other electrical
components. This is not only to protect the equipment
but to prolong your life as well.
2. You would have to be absolutely sure that you or
anyone else who ever uses the equipment never
sprays any combustible material, i.e. paint, lacquer,
etc. DC motors produce many small sparks at the
brush / commutator interface. They are an excellent
source of combustion in a volatile atmosphere.
