Hi all,

For those who can not find a carbon monoxide detector
that reads or alarms below 30 PPM in their local
hardware store, I've included a source below. I hope
the person whose cigar set it off is not confusing a
CO detector with a smoke alarm.

Also, just want to add that it's wise to partition
your kiln/s from the rest of the studio, weather strip
the door, and vent each kiln, and use a CO detector.
Think of it as adding years of productivity to your
life - a good investment.

I use the CO Experts Model 2002 low-level carbon
monoxide monitor for "ultra sensitive digital readout
detector ... display range from 5-70 PPM, updated
every 6 seconds, 3 alarm levels (10 PPM, 25 PPM, 50
PPM), uses 9 volt battery...." It's 6' x 3.75" x 1.75"
in size, purchased from website
http://Aeromedix.com for $99.95 plus shipping.
(Find CO detector in the index on left side of their
page.) I am a satisfied customer, not affiliated with
the company.

Happy & safe firing to all,
Linda
