your post just reminded me, that in 1995, after i saw that great exhibit
of lucie rie and hans coper at the metropolitan in new york city, i was so
inspired, that decided that i never wanted to fire anything else but
electric. and as a result i bought my first and only electric kiln. i
thought that if such beautiful pots can be made in an electric kiln, i`d
never want anything more complicated.
of course as i studied and learned more about different firings i wanted
to try them all... and i`d love to have a soda kiln one day...
but, as lili reminds us, electric kiln owners: just look at the great work
of rie and coper!
you surely dont want anything better ...
