Steve, for a suggestion of where to go in Washington for ceramic supplies I
suggest Clay Arts in Tacoma.(and I don't even work for them) I have been
using two clay bodies called Cassus clay(black)and Bennett clay(white). If
you want to select any other clay bodie you might somewhat be on your own,
but at this the people at Clay Art are good people with knowledge to boot.
I have been throwing a combination of the two clays on a shimpo wheel with
great success in the foothills of the Cascades in the town of Preston for
the past four years. Please contact me if you have any questions of the
area or anything else. MEMD

Steve,
We have been using a buff clay called 'DRS' from
Clayart Center in Tacoma for a number of years
now. We use it at cones 5, 6, & 7-works great.
DRS is tough, shrinks less than some of the clays
we've used from other suppliers and the folks
there are GREAT to work with!!
