Janet
Regarding the "being used by another program(me)..."
Try this.
Press the control button, hold it down, and then press the
"alt" button, holding it down as well. Then press "delete"
(You will be pressing three buttons at once, ok?)
Do it only once! More than once re-boots your machine.)
Once done, you will bring up the "task manager".
Under "processes" tab, look for anything that might conceivably be
using those files, and right click on it and select "close"
you will get a message warning you about closing processes
blah blah blah...just click OK.
Do not close explorer.exe, or svchost.exe. Windows needs these to operate.
Once you are done weeding out all the clutter :>)
close the task manager (the "x" in the upper right corner of that window)
then try accessing those files again.
To import multiple files at once, you need to hold down the control button,
and then click on them with the mouse as you normally do. This "should"
allow you to select by picking and choosing.
(Holding the "shift" button will select every file in between the first file
you
select, and the next.)

Once you have selected the files you want (or the folder(s), then right
click
on any of it with the mouse, and save it or copy it as you normally do.
Hope that helps!

I have just come across all the e-mails I saved when using OE 5.5
and before PC meltdown last year. There are many "lost" Path
Makers addresses and mail in there which I really want to
retrieve and activate. I no longer use OE however I do have
Version 6 installed on this new PC and would like to import these
.eml files for checking through.

The problem is that when I try to import > messages, and browse
to the specific folder (floppy) the system says that they are
being used by another programme. There is also only the choice
between OE 4 and OE 6 as file-type. Does anyone know a way of
importing all these mails at once? Up to now I can click on one
file at a time in Explorer, which opens it them in OE, where I
can "save to folder" of choice. As there are several hundred, I
would honestly like to find a better way around this! And
strangely enough, I cannot even find the folder which contains
the .wab and mailbox folders either... Wierd!

BTW The 1776 tile arrived... I was from Bath, England and not the
USA! Sorry folks!

As for blackberries... Do you have such glorious wild fruits in
North America? Do not recall seeing any or blackberry jelly so
beginning to wonder. The menu for Rikki's visit is being debated
so it is will be genuinely Welsh, but we don't want to serve
something someone from California could eat every day!

Thanks for any help

Sincerely

Janet Kaiser -- Still working on names for Joyce, but dazzelingly
splendid one I thought of just before I dropped off to sleep last
night is still evading me... Typical!
