All--

I=B9m in the process of switching over to OS X. I have just been advised tha=
t
there is an application, =B3Little Snitch=B2, that does not let any information
leave your computer without your authorization. This means that when you
receive junk mail, there is an auto reply that says that you received the
email, i.e., your email address is valid. Little Snitch prevents that from
happening. You can download it from Version Tracker. There must be
something similar for PC=B9s but I don=B9t know what it is.

Also, if you are using Outlook or Entourage, you can set keywords for the
spam filter, as well as use your spam filter from your ISP. With the
combination of both spam filters, you should be able to cut down on the
amount of spam.
