Janet:
I downloaded a very nice open source SFTP called WinSCP. Located here:
http://winscp.sourceforge.net/eng/
It's free, but if you really like it, you can send in a donation.
It works by opening two directories, one is your file dir on your comp, =
and the other is your home page or where ever. For transferring files =
up, just highlight the file(s) you want to send, make sure the other =
side is open to where you want them and hit copy. I think you can also =
drag and drop but usually don't use that feature.

On another topic, I usually groan when I see your post as I know I'll be =
checking out all the links you put up. Guess I'm a surfing with Janet =
Junky.. ;-)
Take care..

A question for those of you with Windows XP and their own web
site: did you use WS_FTP *limited edition* before upgrading to
XP? And if you did, have you found a way of using the LE version
of WS_FTP since xpeeing?

I have downloaded the current version, but it is still not
useable. Does not show the file names... And changing
compatibility in the properties to Windows95 or 98 does not work.
LE is unsupported, so the tips on the website are only applicable
to professional versions, upgrades, etc. As I need to do some
file transferring a.s.a.p. (including the Clayart/SUCAWS site and
your URL too Liisa) any tips would be MOST welcome! Thanks!

I have downloaded AceFTP freeware, but it is a much more
complicated programme with a whole set of new concepts and
expressions for me to learn... And it looks like I will need some
time to get my accounts and passwords sorted out... And NO!
Before you ask or suggest it, I am so biased about M$ I am not
even going to try their FTP which is apparently part of the XP
package.

Sincerely

Janet Kaiser -- still suffering from the very painful personal
consequences of that all night party on the beach which kept me
awake all night and extremely wound up... Thank goodness the
temperatures are lower today and it is fresher... Yesterday was
pure hell. Reminded me of a summer in spent in Montreal with
35=B0C and 95% humidity convinced me life in the colonies was not
all beer and skittles! I was 30 years younger then too...
