I just got a new book called "Porcelain" by Jack Doherty. It is a practical guide to the application of porcelain by studio potters. Their is nothing earth shattering, but their is a lot of good how-to info and it is current ( their has not been a book published on the subject in quite a while) It was published in the UK so a lot of the recipes are not easily applied. Definetly worth a look for anyone interested in porcelain.

The way I make my glazes and claybodies using (sometimes) North American
recipes so will you do the other way around. Just find similar
materials. At least you will have plastic kaolin that will be easier to
"navigate" than the English Kaolin that truly is whiter but less
plastic!
