making shows better

Dear Clayarters,

I've been lurking around for a short while and have had an idea I have =
been working on to take some of the mystery out of doing studio =
sales/home sales/group sales.=20

I thought that a list of successful actions for marketing and outreach =
would be a great thing to compile. I have put together a survey which =
hits on these items, as well as what potters consider to be a successful =
show/sale and the length of time it takes to establish a returning =
clientele.

I'd like individual participation from group members in exchange for the =
results I come up with. I thought that this would best be handled =
offlist, and maybe by regular mail if the responses get detailed. I =
would be willing to handle the cost of mailing a survey to the first 200 =
folks that responded that live in the US (exclusion of other countries =
is only because of mailing, financial and time concerns) if they would =
enclose a self addressed stamped envelope when returning the completed =
survey for the results. I will not use the addresses for any other =
reason and will not sell them to any other source (so sad you have to =
put these disclaimers in now), however, if the results of the survey are =
informative, I may try and submit it as an article in one of the ceramic =
mags.

I could put the survey in as a word document and email it as an =
attachment offlist if this would be more convenient to some folks.

If anyone is interested they may reach me offlist at =
vlgill@bellsouth.com to respond.

Thanks!
Vicki
