Hi Clayart friends:
Several months ago, I got some much-appreciated advice from the group and the
clayart archives on details on setting up a classroom. I'm now teaching
regular weekly classes in my studio and enjoying it immensely. My students are
making great pots. I wish you could have seen their reactions when we took
their first pots out of the glaze kiln. It was like Christmas morning!
Now I'm writing because I need a few more people to reach a quorum for a
workshop next month at my studio. August 2&3 -- a hands-on weekend on
handbuilding with wheel-thrown components. We will make oval, squared and altered forms.
My studio is on the Rockfish River in Nelson County, Virginia -- about three
hours southwest of Washington, DC -- near Wintergreen Resort. We're right
next to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the river has a great swimming hole. It's
a lovely spot to spend a clay-filled weekend!
