The galleries of Spokane, Washington do a wonderful job of exhibiting the
work of area artists. But, until now, none of the galleries have been
dedicated solely to showcasing the work of those who work in clay.

The Creighton Gallery is devoted to ceramic art work. It is co-located
with the North Star Ceramics Center & Studio and will open on Friday, July
18th with an exhibit of the sculptural work of Christopher Kelsey. The
exhibit, titled "Edge Of The Earth," features sixteen of Kelsey's more
recent pieces. This work is very large, angular and highly textured. It is
heavily influenced by the artist's life in Montana.

If you're in the Spokane area, I encourage you to drop by The Creighton
and take in the truly wonderful work of this emerging sculptor. The
gallery is located at 714 E. Sprague Avenue. The opening reception is July
18th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Normal hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., weekdays,
and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays. Telephone: (509) 747-6174
