Hello North Texas potters!

I'm going to have a Clay Day on Saturday June 28 at my place here south =
of Denton. I had an annual Clay Day when I owned a gallery but I had to =
close my business after 9-11 because business was way off. Anyway, Clay =
Day was always a lot of fun with all the clay people I represented =
bringing in extra work, setting up shelves and wheels on the sidewalk =
outside the gallery, and so on. It was really popular -- demonstrations =
and balloons and popcorn and such. At any rate, I'm going to have Clay =
Day at my studio here. I have a couple acres and lots of room for booth =
set up and have invited other clay people to come and set up their work, =
too. I have five potters/sculptors who've already said they'd be here. =
One, Pat Woodruff, will be bringing a raku kiln and together with mine, =
we can fire them all day. =20

So this is an invitation for you professionals to come join us! Each of =
us will be advertising the day to our own mailing lists. It won't cost =
you anything to come up -- just like any other outdoor show, I guess, =
except no booth fees. I will put an ad or two in the denton paper and =
in the dallas morning news but you aren't expected to help with those or =
any other costs. I thought it would be great fun to have as many =
potters as possible here to enjoy each other's company and sell some =
work at the same time. Raku some pots. Share stories. I have a pool =
and you'd be welcome to stay for dinner grilled outside and swim in the =
pool. The sale will be from 9:00 to 5:00 Saturday only.

Well, let me know if you'd like to participate. I think it'd be great =
to see some of you I read on clayart. Six potters have committed to =
being here so far but heck, I think a couple dozen would be a hoot! I =
will be out of town until the 17th but will be happy to answer any =
questions you might have then. Or call and I'll pick up my messages. =
David Dotter (Mesquite Plains Pottery -- dave@mesquiteplainspottery.com) =
can answer any questions about me if you're wondering about that. Email =
me back off-list, if you're interested. =20
