Hello Fellow clay folks!

The Eastern Shore's Own Arts Center, in Belle Haven,
Va., proudly presents Master Potter Joyce Michaud for
a two day Eastern Asian Wedged Coil workshop, on
Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29, from 9:00 am to
4:00 pm. Cost: $120, which includes a #25 bag clay and
most other tools/materials.

Joyce will be teaching the Eastern Asian Wedged Coil
techinique, which is one of the most valuable
techniques for the construction of large, asymmetrical
forms. A master potters' tradition, Eastern Coil
combines coil technique with throwing concepts,
providing the greatest wet structural strength for
clay sculpture. This class is designed for the
complete beginner as well as the advanced potter. To
register or for more information, please call the ESO
office at 757-442-3226, or call me at
757-442-3831, or email me at
ehmadpotter@yahoo.com. There are a few limited spaces
left, so please call as early as possible.

Housing with local workshop participants
may be available (just call me, Elizabeth, at
757-442-3831 for availability); and
there are several nice B&Bs around as well as a Best
Western just a mile or so from ESO.
Hope to get to meet some fellow Mid-Atlantic Clayarters that weeknd!!!
(There's Golf and fishing and boating and bird watching if you want to
bring a non-clay significant other and make a mini-vacation out of it!:):))

have JOYCE MICHAUD coming!!!!) Eastern Shore of Virginia
