Bobbie, I used to use the shower caps too, from hotels, but the
covers made by Saran are infinitely better, the large one fits very
nice and snug over the wheel-head and is very durable. They are sold
in a package with various sizes included. I use them all the time in
the kitchen for covering pottery bowls that go in the fridge.
Plastic wrap just doesn't cling well, and besides I considered that
it was more environmentally friendly.
Good idea for covering the turntables with the caps.

Hah, deja vu---I can remember using plastic shower-cap type
things in the kitchen because Saran-wrap, etc hadn't been invented yet!
