'Fess up time! I AM IGNORANT & STUPID. Very much both. I know zip about
computers, about automobiles, about what Habemas and Lacan "want". I could
go on. I won't.

I AM well versed in clay--though not in the intricacies of high fired
reductions. Or Raku. DUH! I do not know anything about all that recondite
stuff Ivor sends out, but how can I not adore a man who has Kangaroos in
his back yard? Oy, I am so Ignopid (a combined word. My hand still
hurts...) After 52 years in clay.....

Janet, you wicked woman you, wanting to control the deterioration of
people's health. I gather that being a Dominatrix pays bloody damn well--I
mean if there is some slack time at the gallery....

Ok. This Galena lady is silly. There are fritted lead silicates that would
serve her well and not be toxic in the raw state. BUT WORKING ON THAT STUFF
IN THE KITCHEN? THE KITCHEN? DIE KUECHE? LA CUISINE? Like where there is
food and food preparation?

As to the person using white lead paintg (Cremnitz White) to restore a
painting. Fine.

HANDLING DANGEROUS MATERIALS IS OK IF ALL PRECAUTIONS TO SELF AND OTHERS ARE
TAKEN. Surely many Clayarters in their prime professions--like medicine,
like the military--handle and have handled dangerous substances: deadly
germs, deadly fungi, explosivces, poisons. THE POINT IS NOT THE MATERIALS
BUT HOW YOU HANDLE THEM....It is NOT a case of "living dangerously" it is a
case of being thoughless to those who might be victimized by your living
dangerously...

And Janet: Since Burness wants you to consult a higher authority, can you
see your way clear to going to Chapel this Sunday? Not YOUR Chapel, THAT
one...Lettuce know what God says....

Also: Too late for smelling salts, Luv...straight whiskey it is....

Be of good courage....

Surely Lily, you must be overlooking the innocence in which
the
lady's tolerance was merely consistent with other
English cooking?

(...wink...)
