: lowering glaze temp/out-gassing

Barry & Ivor -

If soaking doesn't get rid of the out-gassing and
blisters, think about backing it up one step further
and slowing down the bisque firing to give time for
the stuff to burn out more completely. On advice of
Orton Fdtn collegue (sp?), I bisque no faster than 100
degrees F per hour from red heat up to temp (and I'm
using a porcelain body).
