When I was in San Diego at NCECA...
On a table in the area outside the ballrooms
were a stack of cards promoting a minigama kiln...
I was intrigued....so I waited patiently and
a couple of weeks ago the book arrived...
a mere $14.00.
The book is a translation of the work of
Akira Yoshida and has been translated
by Naoko Gomi
P.O. Box 311, Princeton, MA 01541

So Naoko does not know I am promoting her
work, but the book is a great idea of
building a small kiln...20 inches long...
styled like an amagama....
I think it is a great idea...I plan on using
it to show students kilns construction...
everyone can build their own kiln...fire it...
fire a sake cup....

I think the concepts can be scaled to whatever
size you want....
The idea is clever...accessible...useful...
everyone needs a copy of this book...
