Dear Vince,

It sure does, whatever you like to call it and whatever way anyone =
wishes to describe it. As I have said before, clay cares not a whit and =
I am pleased it performs well for me.

The side pressure was about throwing from the hump. I certainly use a =
solid rib across the bases of wide plates and platters. And if it is =
needed because a clay becomes prone to "S" cracks, adding the right =
quality of grog or sand will alleviate the problem. And that in itself =
is an interesting story which you might wish to explain for us.

Best regards,
