Dear Clayart,
I am pleased to invite you to view my website at www.alisa-potshop.dk .

With the inspiration of many and the help of some willing and friendly =
friends, both real and virtual, I have the first results of my first =
effort.

For those interested in seeing the most recent cone 6 glaze test results =
and some of the glazes on pots, go to Glaze Tests on the front page.

I would be easlily tempted to make excuses for not having a visually =
exciting site, but the purpose of the site is to get a picture of the =
glaze tests connected to the posted tests on Clayart.

In time, I believe, I will learn to use the neater things about Front =
Page and get it to look like something.

In the meantime, please have a look, you can see a little about how we =
live in Denmark as well. I hope it will temp you to visit. I have had =
the pleasure of meeting Steven Branfman, Lela and Erik Martens and Nan =
Kitchens and family on my adopted turf.

The champagne bottle was tied to the bow of this website, but after all =
the hours it took to get this far, well, we are going to drink it!

Let me know your comments and of course, I hope it will useful to those =
working in cone 6 ox.
best regards, Alisa in Denmark

I feel a bit jittery, like a blind date, because I am showing photos of =
me to Clayart that has only been known in words. It should be all =
right.

Alisa,

I think you have an error on the oxide additions in one of the glazes: C 72

The one blue glaze shows this:

z.5 Cobalt carb.
Resulted in a gloss, cobalt blue glaze that is uniform where thickest.

The glaze color appears to be one which would have more than .5 cobalt carb.

June Perry

Is anyone having trouble accessing Alisa's site, or is it just me? I have
tried 4 or 5 times, and when I get on the site, and click to another page,
my PC totally freezes up, with a partial page showing. I can't even
Ctrl/Alt/Delete, I have to power off. I can't remember having that happen
before. The last time I tried, it froze before the home page even loaded.
I have IE 6.0. Does anyone know anything I can do? I really do want to see
her site!

Thanks, Holly

Alisa;

It's a wonderful site. And such a lovely photo of you. Your house looks so
inviting with a porch all round and nestled in the trees. What a beautiful
place to live!

So nice to see the glaze test tiles.

Marianne

I had the same problem with Netscape but was able to get to the site using Internet
Explorer.
It's wonderful to finally see the glaze tests but even nicer to see the photos of
Alisa and her home and studio.

I am also having the same problem, not being able to access the site. It
defaults to "That Page Cannot Be Found". I am using Netscape. Any
suggestions? Laura

The problem is that Alisa's site makes use of Cascading Style
Sheets. Older versions of Netscape (I just tested it on 4.7), don't find
the style sheet and can't interpret the page. There are ways of using
style sheets that allow for older browsers, but evidently that wasn't done
with this site.

Chris
just beginning to learn about CSS myself, having avoided it for this very
reason
