To
Lily Krakowski,

In reply to your post of 5/1/03 few things have to be clear.
I am not familiar with your wheel: is it cone driven ?
If it is then the motor most likely is an a.c. induction motor. I have =
seen in my 35+ years in the industry quite few induction motors. In =
theory all can be made reversible, in practice some are a little hard, =
because the connection to the internal winding are so embedded within =
the motor housing .

If the wheel is belt driven than most likely the motor is a d.c. motor. =
This is easy to modify.

In both cases you will need a " Double pole - double throw" switch =
with "centre off". Make sure the current and voltage rating are higher =
than the one written on the motor.
Since we may be too far away ( I live in Sydney- Australia ), I suggest =
that you get in touch with someone in a related field such as an =
electrician or power tools repairman, auto electrician . Any one of this =
tradesman should be able to perform this modification.
In any case feel free to send me a post if necessary.
Regards
Joe Simone
