Wesley, Here is a recipe with different ingredients that looks just like
Kemp 5 if that gives you a clue. Since the "flecks" get larger with halos
when it is fired in a crystalline schedule I always concidered it
simi-crystalline.
30% Custer Spar
14 % whiting
14 % dolomite
10 % zinc
3 % lithium carb.
25 % silica
5 % rutile

Nepheline syenite 67.0 67.00
Dolomite 10.0 10.00
Kaolin 8.0 8.00
Silica 9.0 9.00
Zinc oxide 6.0 6.00
Totals: 100.0 % 100.00 g

Also add:
Copper carbonate 3.0 3.00

I checked out both these glaze - the Kemp 5 is a matte glaze - it has
enough alumina and silica but may not be a stable glaze becasuse it is
probably not melted enough.
I don't know where the pink spots are coming from but it is high in sodium
and zinc.

The 1st glaze is a crystaline glaze but is probably grossy unstable because
there is so little alumia and silica - try the lemon test on this one - not
the best kind of glze to use on the inside of functional pots.
