PS and OT, John,

I'm teaching ESL 4 days a week now. One of my girls from Vietnam absolutely
freaked OUT over a drawing of a snake in the Highlights Magazine one day. I
asked my co-teacher if fear of snakes was common in Vietnamese culture; she
said no, because they actually make SNAKE WINE in 'nam. She saw it in
stores when she was over there; they put the snakes in a big jar with
fermentation starter and water. Said that was the one thing she could NOT
try when she was over there on vacation. I'm thinkin' water in the rice
paddy might be better for ya...........

Hmmm, reminds me of eatin' "Stinky Fish" with the Eskimo's back in my
Alaska days. Buried Salmon heads in special locations on the tundra,
left them until a yellow/orangy cheesy looking stuff was on them, dug
them up and ate them. Real delicacy....if you like Limburger!!

And then there was pickled moose muffle.............!
