capturing images from web sites (was re: african clay pots)

Thanks Chris S! You have been the one and only person to include the URL
since the "problem" with capturing the images from a specific site came up!

People, people... PLEASE do not rabbit on about individual web sites
without including the full URL in each post... It has driven me nuts,
because of course the fingers itch to find a way around such tricky
problems... The I-am-sure-to-be-able-to fix-it-null-problemo is not a
completely male gene! :-)

As far as I can see, you all need to switch to an Opera browser... There is
a "save (page) with images as" function which works just fine with this
site on a PC. I have a folder for "downloaded HTML" just for this very
purpose. Some sites are really messy with hundreds of gifs and other stuff
(java script, applets, etc), but "good housekeeping" helps keep it down to
a minimum. And of course, there is a simple "save as" function which will
save text without any unwanted extras. With the added facility of being
able to see what a page will look like before it is printed too... Well
that makes it even better after wasting reams of paper on sites which have
not paid too much attention to that aspect of web design. All-in-all pretty
neat IMHO

Opera is also great at rebuffing "illegal" cookies and other stuff you do
NOT want loaded onto your hard-drive without your knowledge.

Sorry, cannot help with MACs... But then Chris has solved the image problem
for everyone...

Sincerely
