To all those Clayarters in the Fayetteville, NC area. Our studio, Cape Fear
Studios is hosting an all day workshop on the Teapot and Other Pouring
Vessels by Canadian Potter John Elder from Edmonton, Alberta. John has been
working in clay for 29 years and has long been fascinated by the Teapot
through out his career in clay. Three of his teapots are featured in the Lark
book of "500 Teapots." He has experience in gas, salt, soda and wood firings
throughout his career. His concentration recently has been in the area of
wood firing. He spent January and February of this year in Penland,
producing a body of work to fire in their wood kiln there. He has spent the
last month and a half working at the studio, where he is a long distance
member and will present the workshop on Sat. May 10, 2003 before heads back
