Greetings from Saigon,

Sorry to have not been in better touch. You e-mailed
me several months ago concerning potteries in Vietnam,
Lao and Burma as I posted a message on clay art. i
have finally arrived in Vietnam and have started my
volunteer work, teaching pottery. After 3 months of
back-packing and excavation sites i am happy to have
both feet firmly planted and to be finally un-packed
and am now able to answering e-mails.

As for pottery sites in Vietnam. In the north, Bat
Trang pottery village, Quang Ninh, Phu Lang and
Haiphong villages. Near Hoi An is Thanh Ha village.
My list is still in the early stages of development, I
am compiling a complete listing of all the pottery
villages and excavation sites in Vietnam. There are
also several around the Saigon area, will give you a
better and complete list in the coming weeks.

Will get in touch soon,

mg dufresne
