Dear Clayart
I bought a used pug mill Bluebird model 1150. I need to maintain it but
I don't understand the manual and need someone familier with machines to
help me. I opened the front panel and it has glass jars with oil and weird
hoses and it very scary in there. I live in Morris County, New Jersey.
Any suggestions. I called Bluebird and they suggested calling a welder but
there isn't anything to weld. It just need routine oiling and lubing and
all that stuff that some people but not me know how to do. Thanks in
advance for your help. Francine Epstein

Francine,
Don't be afraid of this machine. I've had my Powerstar for 12 years with
no problems. If you want to change the fluids, any machinist can show
you how. But unless it's had excessive use it won't need it. As for
those little glass jars, one is for oil. Just keep it filled to the line
indicated. The other is clay residue siphoned off during the pugging.
Just empty it periodically. There's really nothing more to do but use
the machine.
