I'm with Kurt. Actually, I owe Kurt, because his advice saved me several hundred dollars. I bought the Harbor Freight gun, on his recommendation, a few weeks ago. I figured, if it sucks, it's only a hundred bucks, but if it's amazing, woohoo! It's amazing! I tried it for the first time yesterday. The whole unit is small, lightweight, simple and easy to clean. Nothing to put together. No air compressor.

I glazed a huge planter that I had been avoiding, because the job was so big. Spraying it took under a minute. No drips at all, and the particles of glaze didn't powder off into my hands when I handled the piece afterward. I had only planned to glaze that one piece, but ended up doing several more for the fun of it. Switching over to other glazes took less than a minute, and that includes cleaning the gun and container. This is the best, most simple and space-saving tool I have ever gotten! Jules

That's the one! It looks like it could be really big in the picture, but it's really small. I hope you adore it as much as I do. Why can't all equipment be this good? Oh, and I have no affiliation with this company at all; I'm just used to being disappointed with equipment, especially if I bought something really cheap, and I am just so happy, I want to take it out to dinner! Hi Guys,

Just want to mention to you folks buying these that they
are often marked down to $69.99 and all you need is the
cat number to get it. Also, to save even more time
and have a complete spare gun you can buy them for,
I think I remember $16 or so. It's a replacement part
so not in catalog. I documented it after a nice chat with them
when I was first documenting it to clayart back 18 months
ago or so. (Whole gun costs less than 1/2 what you can pay
for a replacement nozzle on some models).

One gun for light colors, one for dark is a decent compromise -
this way you don't really have to clean the dark as carefully
for white / light - it only takes a few dark specks to mess things
up.

Best,

george koller

The model number of the Harbor Freight spraygun is 44677. You can find it on their website, and in case you missed Goerge Koller's post, you can sometimes get them for $69 instead of $99. Happy spraying! Jules
