EXHIBITIONS
April 4 - 27
Opening Reception First Friday, April 4 from 5-9 pm

Paul Donnelly, Resident Artist Solo Exhibition, Harrison Gallery
Students & Faculty from U. of Washington Ceramics Program 1969-1996,
27 artists chosen by professor emeritus Patti Warashina, Second
Floor Gallery
The Residents' Raffle, pieces by our 12 resident artists, minimally
valued @ $250, in the Niche

LECTURE
The Clay Studio and the University of PA Graduate School of Fine Arts
proudly present :
Slide lecture by Patti Warashina, Professor Emeritus, University of Washington

When: 7pm Thursday April 3

Where: University of Pennsylvania, Chemistry Building
231 South 34th Street, NE corner of 34th and Spruce
(caddycorner to the UofP hospital)
(entrance on 34th north of Spruce)

Parking: Penn Tower Hotel 300 south 33rd st or University Museum Parking

Directions: If coming from south street bridge, go left at first
light after bridge.
Both entrances are on the right- U. Museum parking is before the bend
in the road, Penn Tower Hotel parking is around the bend.
If coming across Walnut, make left at 34th, cross Spruce,
then make left at first light, then left into hotel garage or around
bend to U. Museum parking.

Cost: $5 general public,
$2 members, students and seniors,
free to Friends members and above, Clay Studio artists and
Penn Students

Please give yourselves ample time to park. Street parking is often
difficult around Penn at this time.

WORKSHOPS
There are still several spaces in the Nick Joerling workshop April
5th and 6th. Call or email Kathryn Narrow for more information
(kathryn@theclaystudio.org or 215-925-3453x11).

RAFFLE
Enter to win one of 12 works by the Studio's resident artists. All
proceeds will be put in a fund for the resident artists. Tickets are
$25 each or 5 for $100. Visit the website at
http://www.theclaystudio.org to view the works and print raffle
tickets.
Closing party Friday April 25, 6-8pm. You need not be present to win.

VISITING ARTIST
Traditional craftsperson from northern India Jagdish Pandit and
interpreter/educator Minhazz Majumdar will arrive from India early
April and stay through mid May. The residency is supported in part by
Ringing Rocks Foundation and Asian Cultural Council.
Jagdish's works range from small festival oil lamps to monumental
votive animals and figures.
Times for lectures and demonstrations will be forthcoming.
