I thought this might be of interest to Clayartists---

June 25-29 -- Fundamental Earth: Primitive Pottery Workshop
Wednesday, 7:00 pm to Sunday, 5:00 pm EST
This workshop is hands on, feet in; a body, mind and spirit engagement with the earth and oneself. In this workshop we will dig clay to construct a kiln and make pottery. Just using our hands and the resources of nature we will make, dry and fire kiln and pottery. The process will engage our senses to learn how we may have to work the clay as we deal with moisture, joining , cracking, shaping and preparing for the fire. All of these parts are analogous to our own living.Sponsored by Lindenwood and Earthworks. Instructor: Jerry Lapp is an artist with over twenty-five years experience in the classroom and studio. He has extensive experience facilitating workshops, summer arts programs, and continuing and adult education courses. Jerry is a charter member of the Clay Artist's Guild in Goshen, Indiana, and participates in local and regional exhibits. His own explorations include clay work, painting, assemblage, writing and music, which feed and celebrate the "creator". Fee: Plan A - $425
(private room, 12 meals & snacks); Plan B - $370 (double occupancy, 12 meals & snacks); Plan C - $265 (BYO tent, 12 meals & snacks); Plan D - $240 (commuter, 8 meals & snacks). Sign up now! Class limi
ted to 20 people age 21 years or older. $50 deposit is required at time of registration. Full amount deadline: June 13, 2003.To register: Download Brochure w/Registration Form or Call 574-935-1780

Christy,
Helen's post probably answered your not-stupid question - if it doesn't, try this link
http://www.lindenwood.org/ . The workshop information is under the
Ecological/Earth Programs

link. I apologize for the lack of information...
