I would like to find closer to Texas distributor of Velvacast Kaolin to
avoid expensive freight charges from one of the only suppliers I found,
Bailey in New York. I am wanting at least 300 pounds.

As I recall, Ceramic King (they have since be bought out but I don't
know the new name - sorry!) in Albuquerque used to carry Velvacast. You
might try the Albuquerque Yellow Pages.

dneese...Velvacast Kaolin is a Georgia Kaolin product as is Tile 6 and
Pioneer minerals; I believe mined around Dry Branch ,Georgia.
Thompson -Hayward Chemical Co. in Houston,Texas is listed as a distriburor
in an old Georgia-Kaolin spec sheet I have. They also have Texas ball clay,
Texas talc and Texas bentonite. Georgia Kaolin, 433 North Broad St.,
Elizabeth, N.J. 07207 (201) 352-9800 Hope this helps, Lori Pierce,
New Port Richey, Fl.
