I am working with a cone 6 porcelain from Sheffield Pottery in =3D
Massachusettes, #20266. I want a clear glaze that won't crackle, but =
=3D
that also has enough CaO (6.7% - 8.4%) so I can use the red Mason =3D
stains. I have been using the "Glossy Clear Liner Glaze" from Mastering =
=3D
Cone 6 Glazes by Hesselberth and Roy, but that only has 6.24% CaO. Is =
=3D
that enough? What do you recommend?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Sue,

The glossy liner has enough - 11.44% CaO

The Raspberry has 15.79

The glossy base 2 has 8.32

The Glossy liner looks like a good bet as the expansion is low enough for
porcelain.
