Greetings fellow mudslingers,
I'm interested in testing Xavier's warm jade green. It's the only =
glaze I would like to test that uses frit 3124. Instead of buying yet =
another chemical to add to my ever-expanding arsenal, could I substitute =
frit 3134 or 3195? How would that alter other ingredients, or the =
appearance of the glaze? Thanks for your input!

Custer feldspar 22
frit 3124 16
whiting 12
talc 9
EPK 20
silica 21

rutile 5
copper carb 4

Make up a small test batch with the alternate frits and try it to see
what results you get. Experimentation is a wonderful thing. I do it all
the time.. Some successes, some failures, but never boring.
