I too love WNCW (Western North Carolina Wadio) in Spindale, NC and every
time I go west I will give it a listen. Unfortunately I live about 30
minutes too far east to pick it up reliably. If anyone from WNCW reads
this, know that we in central NC have angst because we can hear you only on
really cold days when the air is very clear, like now! Keep up the great
music and programming...hey, no wonder the potters in western NC are so
good...

What is W-S like these days? I grew up in the neighborhood of Ardmore.
But I moved to Md in '69. my Mother moved to Fla in '73. I have only
been back once since then in '85. we used to have one or two good snows
each year. the street I grew up on was a wonderful hill. the city
would bring wooden baracades when it snowed and a 50 gal drum that the
parents would keep a fire going in at night. sledding was wonderful
there.
