Perhaps the type of your film did not match the type of light you used. If
you shoot images under artificial light with a daylight film the colors are
shifted more to the red side, so a light blue can look like white. There are
filters to allow the use of daylight film under artificial light and vice
versa or you could try films especially for the type of lamps you use.
