Diane, I sent a note to Clayart a couple of months ago with names of some
other hotels close by (most within walking distance) the conference
center. Maybe this will help; I'm putting it on the list for others who
might need a place.

Andi in San Diego

>The Convention Center is a part of the Town and Country Hotel. I work
>right up the hill across the valley from the T&C. Other hotels in the area
>include a Days Inn, a Quality Resort Hotel, Seven Seas Best Western,
>Travelodge Mission Valley, Red Lion Hanalei Hotel, Extended Stay America,
>Holiday Inn Select, Hawthorne Suites, Premier Inns. These are all right
>around Hotel Circle and are within walking distance.
>A bit farther away, but still in Mission Valley: Hilton San Diego Mission
>Valley (also one in Mission Bay, not too far away), Radisson, Marriott
>Mission Valley
>In Old Town (just two trolley stops away from the T&C) there are also
>several places: Hacienda Hotel, Ramada Limited Old Town, Old Town Inn, Old
>Town Plaza Hotel, Padre Trail Inn, Western Inn Old Town
>Disclaimer: I am not familiar with some of these and don't know if any of
>them are "fleabag motels" or how expensive they are. I just did a quick
>look through the yellow pages. Hope it helps.

Subject: NCECA my bad
Waited to long to call hotel--full.
Waited too long to book flight.
Now I am sunk.
Advice? please tell me sage advice....
Also, all the folks from here I thought
were going have probably opted for
Alabama Clay instead...I am stumped
